Sport plays a large part in the life of a Priory Preparatory Schoolboy and ranges from major team games like rugby, football and cricket to individual disciplines such as formal gymnastics, athletics and swimming. The school enjoys the facilities of a ten-acre sports field and a large and well-equipped sports hall.
The school has a ‘sport for all’ policy, so every effort is made for all boys in years 2 to 8 to play in a competitive fixture in the team sports.
We believe that sport is vital for boys, channelling their boundless energy, and providing the chance to compete, to win and to lose – mirroring the real world in a safe and supportive way. Whatever their strengths or weaknesses, boys are encouraged to achieve their maximum potential in a friendly environment.
